Terms & Conditions

1. YOUR BOOKING
These booking terms and conditions (Terms) form the basis of your contract with Elite Greek Villas. Please ensure that you read the Terms carefully as they set out our respective rights and obligations.
These Terms, as amended from time to time, apply to all bookings including those made by telephone, e-mail, online, in writing or by any other means.
These Terms will become binding on you, and you will be deemed to have accepted these terms on behalf of any other persons detailed on the booking, on the earliest of:
(a) you paying Elite Greek Villas a deposit (non-refundable);
(b) you making full balance payment of the cost of your villa (non-refundable); or
(c) us sending you a booking confirmation via email, which confirms the details of your booking.

2. PAYMENTS:
Payments can be made only via bank transfer.
A deposit of 40% of the total booking fee is required to guarantee your reservation for the property. The remaining balance of the total booking fee is due 60 days prior to the start of the rental period or immediately if the booking is made less than 60 days before the start of the rental period.

3. CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS:
We will do our best to assist with any reasonable changes. Cancellation requests or requests for changes must be made via email to info@elitegreekvillas.com. Deposit is non-refundable. Balance payment is non-refundable.

4. INCLUDED THE RENTAL FEE:
Our villas are let fully furnished and equipped. Fresh linen, towels, internet, water and electricity are included.

5. NO SMOKING:
Please respect our policy that NO SMOKING is allowed in our villas. Smoking is permitted outside on the balconies, terraces, in gardens or around the pool. Smoking in the villa may result in loss of security deposit.

6. PETS:
Pets are welcome upon request.

7. PARKING:
Parking is available at all our properties.

8. SERVICE:
The property is looked after with the best possible care by our professional property management team. We ask for your understanding that the property is made up of thousands of different elements / items, and that it can happen that during your stay you notice that one of these elements / items of the property needs to be replaced or repaired.

9. CLEANING:
The property will be professionally cleaned prior to your arrival and after your departure. Kindly leave the property in good condition and remove all rubbish, upon your departure

10. SPECIAL REQUESTS:
We will always do our very best to help with these, especially if they are made well in advance of your stay with us. Please email info@elitegreekvillas.com with any requests.

11. SECURITY DEPOSIT:
A 1000 euro security deposit is required. This is due when the balance payment for the villa rental is due. Upon completion of your stay our property managers will ensure that everything is in good order and we will refund the paid amount. If there is any damage/loss (please see point 12), the corresponding amounts due will be deducted from the security deposit.

12. DAMAGES
We expect you and your party to take the best possible care of the villa and all the items in the villa.
You and your party are responsible for all damage and loss to the villa and its contents during your stay. If you or any member of your party cause any damage to the villa or any item in it or on its premises, you and/or your party are required to pay for the loss and/or damage caused to the fullest extent and in this event, we will hold you and each member of your party jointly and individually responsible.
Anything damaged, spoilt or broken will be charged to you at the replacement cost. The costs entail sourcing and purchase costs as well as transfer, delivery and installation costs (where applicable). Any items having to be purchased will be replaced ‘like for like’ to the same quality and standard. Any refund that may be due to you will be paid after repair or replacement is made for the appropriate item. Should the security deposit not cover the cost of repairing the damage caused and/or replacing any items that are damaged, then we will invoice you for additional funds to make up the difference. You agree to pay our invoice for such additional damage or replacement costs before you leave the property. Should the damage be discovered after you leave, you agree to pay within 14 days of the invoice being sent to you.
Please be advised that guests are not allowed to alter any of the (mechanical) parts (like pumps, valves, drains etc), the water- and the electricity supply to and from the pool and/or jacuzzi/hot tub. You and your party are responsible for any charges, damages or breakage of the pool and the jacuzzi/hot tub and any related parts by altering these systems. For any defects, please call the property manager at 0030 6941 683 181.
Elite Greek Villas reserve the right for one of its representatives to enter the villa during the guests stay to ensure that the villa and its equipment are in full working order.

13. WATER AND ELECTRICITY CUTS
On Crete, especially in the busy summer months, where visitor capacity reaches it maximum (hotels, villas and all businesses are completely full and operational all day/night) the local water and power grids take strain. This may result in delays or faults in the supply networks and there can be cuts while essential maintenance work takes place to restore all. Elite Greek Villas and the owners cannot be held responsible for such occurrences and inconveniences.

14. GUESTS:
Your accommodation is booked exclusively for the number of persons agreed upon and stated in your reservation. Please email info@elitegreekvillas.com if you would like to add any additional guests. Additional fees may apply for any guests not included in your reservation.
No parties are allowed at the villa and the number of guests at a villa can never exceed the number of guests booked for that specific villa without written consent from Elite Greek Villas. In case the number of guests exceeds the number of guests booked for the villa without written consent all parties maybe asked to vacate the villa immediately without refund of payment

15. LIABILITY FOR LOSS OR INJURY:
No liability shall be attached to Elite Greek Villas or any representative of the company in respect of any loss or damage, injury or illness suffered by the party leader or any person occupying the property booked by you. We advise all guests to have adequate travel and health insurance. We do not take responsibility for valuables, baggage or other items left behind at the property.

16. CHECK IN / CHECK OUT:
The property is available from 16h00 on the day of arrival until 10h00 on the day of departure.
Please adhere strictly to these times to allow us sufficient time to get the property ready for the next guests. If you require special arrangements to be made regarding times of arrival or departure, please ask ahead of your arrival and we will do our best to accommodate you. Please note there is an additional charge for late checkouts/early check-ins. If you have not arranged a late checkout in advance, please email the local team at info@elitegreekvillas.com to see if this is possible.

17. KEYS/ACCESS:
Prior to your arrival, Elite Greek Villas will provide you with the 4-digit access code to the lock box outside the villa’s entrance. In this lock box you will find one set of keys. The keys need to be returned to the lock box upon your departure and secured in the lock box by entering a random 4-digit code. Should the keys not be returned in this manner, any costs incurred to replace these and/or install new locks, may be deducted from the security deposit.

18. INSURANCE:
Please note that it is your responsibility to arrange appropriate comprehensive travel insurance to cover risks including, but not limited to, medical treatment, accidents, repatriations and holiday cancellation/curtailment.
We therefore strongly recommend that the party leader and all members of his/her party have adequate travel/health insurance to provide cover for both themselves and their belongings during the rental period, as you would on any vacation. We will not be held liable for any act, neglect or default on the part of any person nor any accident, damage, loss, injury, expense or inconvenience whether to person or property which the party leader or any member of the traveling party may suffer or incur arising out of or in any way connected with the letting or resulting from any other cause whatsoever.

19a. POOL AND JACUZZI/HOT TUB:
All our villas have swimming pools. Some also offer a jacuzzi/hot tub.
The owner, agent or Elite Greek Villas are not responsible for cool pool water temperature at any time. Please read more in the ‘pool heating’ section below.
Swimming pools and Jacuzzis/hot tubs carry inherent risks. Please respect the usual pool and hot tub rules, especially in regards to health and safety. Upon arrival at the property, please take time to familiarize yourselves with the property, take note of pool safety signs and depth markings (which may not be accurate). Adult supervision of children is required at all times, whilst in or around the swimming pool or jacuzzi. Please also be cautious and mindful so as to avoid any potential injury, especially with children, when using inflatables in infinity pools. Responsibility for all guests, rests solely on themselves.
The jacuzzi/ hot tubs have insulating covers. Please be sure to replace these whenever not in use. If the covers are not used, it is a safety hazard, bugs are attracted to the warm water, the temperature will drop and render the heating ineffective. There is no additional charge for the heating of the jacuzzi/hot tub.

19b.POOL HEATING:
Some of our villas offer pool heating. This is optional, where available, and comes with an additional charge. Should your stay be in the spring (March, April, May) or autumn months (September, October, November) please consider having the pool heating switched on. Pool heating requires to be turned on 2 days ahead of your arrival so please let us know well ahead of time. For further enquiries/ details on this, please email us at info@elitegreekvillas.com
Should you arrive in Chania and then decide you would like the pool heating on, please contact us on the email above. We will do our best to have it switched on as quickly as possible and will communicate same to you and make arrangements for payment.

20. GYM / FITNESS ROOMS:
Should your villa offer a gym/fitness room, it is used at your sole discretion and responsibility. Children under the age of 16 are not permitted to enter and make use of the gym/fitness room.

22. AIRPORT TRANSFERS:
Airport transfers, either by taxi or mini-van for larger groups, can be arranged. This arrangement can easily be put into place before you travel so that when you arrive at either Chania or Heraklion airport, the driver will be waiting for you at the airport arrivals hall (after luggage claim), holding up a sign with your name on it and will drive you directly to your villa. 23. CAR RENTAL:
If you prefer to drive ask us for the list of rental cars within the quality fleet we offer ranging from smaller cars, SUVs, Jeeps and exclusive rental cars, we are happy to assist you. Send us your enquiry : info@elitegreekvillas.com

24. ALTERATIONS AND CANCELLATIONS:
In the event that the property becomes unavailable (due to mechanical or constructional problems, an overbooking or dispute with the villa owner or authorities) we will endeavor to find you alternative accommodation within our portfolio of luxury villas. IF an alternative property is not available, you will be offered a full refund. Any refund is restricted to the villa hire costs and we cannot be held liable for any cancellation or administrative charges for travel arrangements etc.

25. COMPLAINTS
Should you encounter any problems or issues whilst staying as our guest, as a condition of the contract entered into with Elite Greek Villas, you are required to report any complaints directly to a EGV Representative and follow up in writing by email at info@elitegreekvillas.com as soon as the problem occurs. Elite Greek Villas shall be provided the opportunity to investigate and remedy any such problems during your stay and a reasonable time-frame will be granted taking into account local environs relating to materials/labor availability and regional hours of business.

26. FORCE MAJEURE
We cannot accept liability where the performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected by ’force majeure’. In these terms and conditions of rental ‘force majeure’ means any event which we or the suppliers of the service(s) in question could not, even with due care, avoid. Such events may include but are not limited to war, threat of war, civil commotion or strife, hostilities, strikes or other industrial disputes, natural disasters, fire, acts of God, terrorist activities, quarantine, epidemics, weather conditions, construction in the area by third parties, government action, or other events outside our control.
Further information regarding key lock box access for keys, directions to the property, being met at the airport, car hire etc. will be sent to you after receiving final payment for your villa booking
